Do I have to register my children in the assigned age groups?
No, you do not have to register your children solely based on the age groups we have outlined for our programs. The ages are more of a guideline for how the classes are set up but it is ultimately your decision on which section you register your children for.
How does a typical Parent and Child class run? What sport themed activities do you do with 2-year-old or 3-year-old?
All of our classes start with a ten to fifteen minute warm up/ free time to let everyone arrive to class and get comfortable with the multi-sport balls. With our warm-ups we incorporate a lot of listening activities. The listening activities are crucial to this age group along with repetitive movements and instruction. We do a lot of gross motor skills games and movements. We work on our hand-eye coordination and gauging where our aim is going to reflect in our movements. We practice kicking, throwing, passing, and aiming all to introduce them to the basics.
Do you need one parent per child at a Parent and Child class?
No, we do not require a child to parent ratio. We do just require one parent or guardian for the children that you are in charge of bringing to DASH.
How does a typical Multi-Sport program run? How is it Sport specific?
With our multi-sport classes, we do one sport each week for each class. If it is a longer season, we can double up on some sports or do a mixture of sports. The eight sports that we cover are soccer, basketball, ball hockey, football, tennis, volleyball, baseball and golf. We do not mix two sports into one class unless we have already done one class each of each sport.
Are your programs for girls/boys only?
No, all of our DASH programs are co-ed. Our programs are not competitive in nature. We are teaching the children how to learn the sport and have fun with it
Do you offer a trial class?
We unfortunately can not offer a free trial class because we need concrete numbers before the class starts to actually run a program. Once you register, pay, attend the first class, and then decide on how you like the program we can offer you a DASH credit. A DASH credit can be used towards any DASH program, camp, league, or Birthday Party. The credit never expires either.
It is past the start date of the program; can I still register?
Yes, DASH does not have a final deadline for registrations. We understand how busy schedules get so we keep registration open online for all classes, camps, and leagues. If a class it at capacity, has been cancelled, or has come to an end, we will remove it from the website page. All programs that are available on our website are open for registration.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
Dash Sports will issue a Full Refund if you choose to withdraw or cancel 14 days prior to the start date of a program, class, or camp. If you choose to withdraw after the 14-day grace period, an administrative fee will be charged (15% of program fee).
No refunds of any kind for any reason once a program has begun.
No refunds for missed games, classes, etc. This includes any KIK soccer games missed due to foul weather.
No refunds on Birthday Party deposits or Gym rental deposits.
Dash Sports reserves the right to merge classes based on registration numbers. If you are moved into a program that you are not happy with, we will refund you the full amount paid.
What is your outdoor weather condition policy?
We play rain or shine! The only time we cancel is if the city closes the field due to weather.
If there is thunder and lightning, we wait 20 minutes and then resume play. We restart the 20-minute timer each time we hear and see lightening.
We play in the heat so make sure to bring lots of water for all our water breaks.
